1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using CardDrop, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

2. Description of Service

CardDrop is a web application that facilitates contact sharing at events via QR codes. The service is provided "as-is" and "as available."

3. User Conduct

You agree not to use CardDrop to:

  • Upload content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, or offensive.
  • Impersonate any person or entity.
  • "Scrape" or mass-collect data from events you are not attending.
  • Upload invalid or malicious links.

4. Host Responsibilities

If you are an Event Host:

  • You are responsible for the events you create.
  • You agree to use guest data solely for the purpose of networking related to that event.
  • You may not use guest data for spam or unsolicited marketing unless you have obtained separate consent.

5. Guest Responsibilities

If you join an event as a Guest:

  • You acknowledge that the information you provide (Name, Social Links) will be visible to all other attendees of that event.
  • You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide.

6. Data Deletion

We reserve the right to delete all event and guest data after 7 days per our retention policy. We are not liable for any loss of data resulting from this automatic deletion process.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CardDrop shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from:

  • The use or inability to use the service.
  • The conduct of other users or attendees at an event.
  • Any unauthorized access to or alteration of your data.

8. Modifications

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

9. Service Limits and Fair Use

We reserve the right to impose usage limits on the Service to prevent abuse and ensure stability. These limits may include, but are not limited to, a maximum number of guests per event, API request limits, or storage duration. We reserve the right to enforce these limits at our sole discretion. Current limits are specified on our website or within the Service interface.
